M+W Group hosted the F450C and G450C members for a networking hour during this year’s SEMICON West, the semiconductor industry’s premier trade show held in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. The event took place at the nearby Impress Lounge at the scenic Yerba Buena Gardens, where over 70 attendees from 25 different 450mm organizations gathered to meet face-to-face with the people working to enable scalable technology all over the globe, and more specifically, in Albany, New York.

The above map illustrates the geographic reach of 450mm and the representatives it brought together. In all, the event pulled from 6 different countries, 13 different states and 22 U.S. cities. Additionally, representatives traveled from 8 different European cities.

Please note that each data point represents attendees’ cities of origin. For instance, Albany, New York (the home of F450C and G450C) brought in 10 attendees. Boston sent 4 guests. Locally, Silicon Valley provided 11 representatives of 450mm technology.

The event comes on the heels of the news that Nikon is set to start 450mm wafer patterning at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
